Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar 2nd yr anniversary!

HAPPY 2ND YR ANNIVERSARY Trader Sam's!This is a post that has taken me much longer then I would like. I guess the reason is because this is bar that I love. Not just like like, but LOVE this bar. Nestled deep in the heart of the Disneyland Hotel, just outside of the hotel pool is a dark, relaxing, oasis for adults. Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar has 2 different sections but  we'll get to that later.

On May 25th 2011 Trader Sam's opened its doors to excited tiki-philes and castmembers. I was there on opening day and you can actually see me in the video! Trader Sam's Opening Day Yep. That's me and the husband at the 1:05 mark, top left, chowing down on some food while enjoying the daily live entertainment. I think this video gives a much better description and visual but it you want a interactive tour, the Disney website is awesome! Disneyland Website .

What I love about this location is that on the inside of the bar, it looks like what the Enchanted Tiki room would look like if they served drinks. On the outside is a much different feel with tiki torches and daily entertainment from real life Hawaiian natives that bring their amazing talents to relaxing spirit.

Inside the bar is a completely different feeling then the tranquil state of outside. Inside the bar lots of enchantment happens! the tiki gods are easily angered by all of the celebrating that happens inside the bar! Whenever you order a drink like the Uhoa, the Krakatoa punch, or the shipwreck the bar comes alive!

Check out some of the pictures I have taken over the last 2 years!

Around the corner of the building is the Tangaroa Terrace. A quick serve restaurant that will also serve the bar. The bar has a menu and offers items like lettuce chicken wraps, and hawaiian hamburgers. All of it is delicious.

The drinks are a bit pricey but for as stiff as they are I definitely consider that a plus. So the next time you are Disneyland check it out! You will NOT be disappointed!!
